Commissioners work for you, and they have a crucial job: securing the future of Allen County. I believe I have skills and experience that make me uniquely fit for this responsibility:

I am a problem solver interested in working with anyone for the betterment of our community. I earned my living in the private sector, and I believe that I have experience that can bring a different viewpoint to the leadership of our county. Because I haven’t been a Iong term politician, I can bring new ideas to the mix.
I will listen to our residents. As Commissioner, I want to hear from our citizens and see what ideas they have on improving our community. I also want citizens to be involved the planning process for the community, sharing our activities and issues. An informed community can be a huge asset in facing the challenges that we face to assure that we keep Allen County as a great place to live.
I plan to be an active lobbyist for our county to assure that we are never forgotten by Columbus and Washington. I hope to partner with fellow Commissioners in this effort.
I have a proven track record of working well with people and industry. I have worked in chemical and plastics industry as an engineer and a manager throughout my career. I hold degrees in Chemical Engineering, Public Policy, and Business Administration. I have worked in project management, budgeting, customer relations, design, site planning and quality. I have extensive experience in working with federal and state agencies, including my most recent experience with workforce development managing DOL and EDA grants. Those grants focused on promoting manufacturing careers in West Central Ohio, which shows me the importance of recruiting people into manufacturing careers. It also emphasized the need for targeted outreach to help employers fill their workforce needs.
I hope to provide leadership that will drive us in a direction that keeps our children living and working in Allen County, not because they have to, but because they want to. I have seen our county losing population and being slow in growing our business base. I believe that through cooperative work with the county, city and our rural townships, we can build a community that is capable of growth.
My key areas of focus are education, jobs with benefits and a living wage, reliable rural internet service, attracting businesses to the area, and working in collaboration with the city of Lima, every township, and AEDG to plan for a future of growth.
